Review article on cold resistance of mammalian hibernators

We have summarized a series of studies on cold resisntace in mammalian hibernators from inherited and acquired aspects and cell-intrinsic and systemic aspects. Mechanisms of cold-induced cell death, recently identified as cold-induced ferroptosis, are also discussed.
