This is a small paper from our group showing that a QIH-like induced torpor state in mice is highly deleterious to embryo growth and health when induced during pregnancy. During early pregnancy, the torpor-like state completely blocked implantation, while induction during late pregnancy caused severe growth arrest and embryonic lethality. These findings demonstrate that thermoneutrality is essential for fetal health and development. It’s a great honor for me to co-author a paper with Sakurai-sensei for the first time!
